5K Run - Walk 2025
See whales and maybe a rainbow on this 5K out-and-back oceanfront race. The right side of the rainbow was our old finish line in Lahaina before The Fire. I can't take this photo down yet. The New overall finish line is now 2.5 miles south of Lahaina at Launiupoko Beach on H-30.

About the event
Free parking along H30 outside of Launiupoko Park and the 50-space parking lot on Kai Hele Ku Street
- See the timeline for start time, number pickup, and shuttle bus schedule for this out-and-back event.
- The Shuttle Bus schedule from Wailea, Maalaea, or Kaanapali is on the back of your race number.
- The 5K Run-Walk will be outside Launiupoko Beach Park on Highway 30 at the bottom of Kai Hele Ku Street off the bypass.
- The course is flat and fast and closed to traffic for 100% of the course.
- The start line is just outside Launiupoko Beach Park.
- If you stay in the Kaanapali area, take the shuttle from Whalers Village to the start line.
- The course is very scenic along the oceanfront.
- Traditional Hawaiian entertainment and your finisher's medals and snacks will await you.
- There will be a medal for the finishers waiting for you.
- A souvenir Maui Oceanfront Event race shirt can be picked up at bib pickup at the Shops at Wailea on Friday or Saturday.
- If you miss pickup, your bib and T-shirt will bene. But bring a six-pack of cold C waiting for you at the start liorona for the volunteers.
